Student of the Hip Swish's Sorvino took it all in long-legged
stride, dressed in a tightly belted white trench coat
and tiny high-heeled sandals. She navigated the crowd
and then, as the clock neared 11, broke out with her friend
Karim Noack to go salsa dancing in the East Village.
Ms. Noack, who is from Columbia, is Ms. Sorvino's salsa/
rumba/ flamenco/ tango teacher. "Karim is the best
dance partner you could have," Ms.Sorvino said. "She
really flings me around." The limo crept down to
Avenue C, on the prowl for a bar Ms. Noack said was the
only place in Manhattan for real Cuban salsa late on Tuesdays.
